Queen Creek Shred-A-Thon at Auxier Elementary
Auxier Elementary School in Queen Creek will host a free Shred-A-Thon on Saturday, November 22, 2025. The event will run from 8 AM to 11 AM, or until the shred trucks are full, at 22700 S. Power Rd. The event is organized in cooperation with the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, ASDD Document Destruction, and the Queen Creek Police Department. The Shred-A-Thon provides a chance for community members to safely dispose of documents.

Maricopa County leaders respond to recorder over in-person voting
Maricopa County Chair Kate Brophy McGee and Vice Chair Debbie Lesko released a joint statement criticizing County Recorder Justin Heap’s handling of in-person early voting, saying the board unanimously gave him authority, offered to assist with more than 160 voting centers but cannot force acceptance, called his response to their letter misleading and disappointing, and said they expect a formal early voting proposal from Heap while they plan for Election Day.
