According to the Maricopa Police Department, the ADOT announced a road closure affecting the Riggs Road bridge over the I-10. The closure is scheduled to start at 9 PM on Friday, December 12 and will continue until 5 AM on Monday, December 15 to allow for repairs.

Drivers heading toward Chandler and Sun Lakes are advised to use Queen Creek Road or to travel through Casa Grande. Eastbound travelers on I-10 will have access only to southbound lanes. However, Riggs Road will remain open for drivers exiting southbound I-10 and heading toward Maricopa.
