Arizona DPS marks ALLECA 45th anniversary with graduates

Arizona Department of Public Safety officials said they are congratulating the American Legion Law Enforcement Career Academy (ALLECA) on its 45th anniversary.

Arizona DPS also said ALLECA held a successful graduation ceremony for 34 cadets and 7 cadet advisors.

In its post, Arizona DPS said the academy has spent more than four decades developing leadership, teamwork, discipline, and community service for “the next generation of law enforcement and military professionals.”

This year’s academy, the post said, brought together sworn officers from agencies statewide, including:

  • Arizona Department of Public Safety
  • Phoenix Police Department
  • Tucson Police Department
  • Peoria Police Department
  • Cochise County Sheriff’s Office
  • Show Low Police Department
  • Pinal County Sheriff’s Office
  • Chino Valley Police Department

Arizona DPS said it thanked the cadet advisors, instructors, agency representatives, and volunteers for their mentorship and commitment that it said make the program possible. The post also extended congratulations to the graduates and thanked them for their commitment to serving their communities.
