The Casa Grande Fire Department hosted an Intern Academy for prospective recruits who successfully advanced through the interview process, according to a post on Facebook.

The department said the academy gave candidates a chance to demonstrate physical fitness, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities in a hands-on environment. It said these skills are essential to the fire service and help identify individuals prepared to meet the demands of serving the community.

The department thanked participants for their work and dedication and said it looks forward to the recruits continuing through the hiring process. It also wished good luck to everyone who took part in the academy.
